Today, my son turned 13. THIRTEEN. While I struggle with the fact that time is flying by at an incredibly high speed, I am also grateful. I am so incredibly grateful. He is healthy, strong, active, intelligent and quite funny! (Quite a handsome chap too!) I am grateful for milestones, growth spurts, (HE EATS EVERYTHING. I have seriously been to the grocery store 3 times since Sunday) and watching him grow into himself and become someone with an identity, personality and character.
This particular day I assisted Krissy Thompson of Kristina Thompson Photography with a TWIN newborn shoot. This day was just so lovely snuggling these sweet little guys! Here are a few photos that I took with permission from Krissy. Enjoy the preciousness!
Every time I step into Katie’s house, it takes me back to another decade. A place in time, where things were simple, real. The home is focused on function and love. Katie’s seemingly simple decorating style, is, in fact, not that at all. Every piece of furniture, every frame, (even the empty one) is thoughtfully hung, placed and used (and was probably purchased at thrift or handed down). I have one word to describe Katie: grateful. She is grateful for her home (even those effing leaves!), her children, her friends, and hugs. She loves this town and the people, and she’s made this known through her thoughtful, witty and sometimes hilarious posts on ilovemyburg.com. (Katie provides words, Brandy provides photos. Check out Brandy’s site here.) I digressed.
