I met the Thomas Family through Care.com. Laura, the mom (not pictured, photos were a surprise :) reached out to me for some babysitting help with her three kiddos for when she goes into labor with her fourth!
Laura was kind, gentle and read a lot of books. :) I always admired her for her calmness amid any chaos, kindness in all circumstances and love and dedication to her family. The house was always clean, the kids were always kind and respectful. It was a wonderful experience getting to know this family.
I ended up babysitting for Laura many times since meeting her and the kids. I would go, whenever she called. Whether it was a meeting with one of the kids teachers or a dentist appointment, Laura would call and I would be there. Laura called me to come help watch the kids while the parents loaded the moving truck. The day before their final day here in Virginia. :( As I pulled up to the house, the kids yelled, "DAN-YELL!!" I love kids, truly. And I am so thankful that these kiddos loved me back. I will miss their giggles, conversations and playing charades with them.
Best wishes on your new adventures, in your new home, in a different state Thomas Family! You will be missed.
