We all have people we meet, that leave us with an impression..a feeling, usually of warmth and kindness. Mr. David Huyard is one of those people to me. He is kind to everyone and has this light about him, that so few do. Little did I know, he had so much more to him than met the eye. He leads a full life of love, faith, family and travel. I was fortunate enough to meet Mr. Huyard years ago, and I am so grateful he allowed me to meet with him and take the following images. Meeting Mr. Huyard and spending time with him brought to life the idea I had for this project that I started in May of 2015. This is a day in the life of a retiree.

For those who follow this blog, its been a while..I started this blog post adventure, last May, and set out to complete one full year's worth of blog posts regarding "A Day in the Life". Well, my life happened and it needed my attention. Thank you to those who follow these posts and read them. Your support and encouragement means so much to me and it truly inspires me. I did display the images that were taken during this project (May-Sept) in a show at Spitzer Art Center last November. (See below image) My last post, in September, was about a Pastor at a local church. So far, I have completed posts about A Day in the Life of a: Single Mother, a child, a Veteran, a Married Couple (Part I & II) and a Pastor. Tomorrow I will be picking up where I left off and blogging about a new lifestyle, a Retiree. Stay tuned for tomorrow's post!
As always, thanks for reading. :) |
